About Dr. Stephen Kubasek
Dr. Stephen Kubasek is a senior university advancement executive with more than 15 years of experience in higher education fundraising, including service as Vice President of University Advancement. He has contributed to more than $75 million in philanthropic revenue and led a division-wide implementation of Raiser’s Edge NXT. He holds a Doctorate of Business Administration.
Outside higher education, he has held a past leadership role with a regional planned giving council, and currently serves on the boards of a regional chamber of commerce and a county economic development council. His broader fundraising counsel has supported a Catholic religious community, an independent secondary school, and an international nonprofit supporting religious women in education across Africa.
HigherEdFundraising.com grew out of that work: an effort to build the resource Stephen wished he’d had earlier in his career, written by someone who has actually sat in the chair.
